Child Nutrition

Children’s bodies need proper food to help them grow, learn, and enjoy life to the fullest. Here in the child nutrition department, we do our best to provide that good food by serving delicious, nutritious meals at no charge to them or their families. During the school day, meal service includes breakfast and lunch that follow the nutritional requirements that the United States Department of Agriculture has set for the school meals programs. The school also serves dinner. Si Ud. desea ayuda en español, llame a Amy Lamuel: (501)-683-5119.

The department has qualified staff who are dedicated to serving the right foods, in the right amounts, tailored to each student’s developmental stage and to any condition that needs a special diet as ordered by the child’s physician.

The Arkansas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired participates in the National School Lunch Program and the National School Breakfast Program.
