Referral Process

Here is how our referral process works:

1. A referral is sent or given to our Service Coordinator.
2. A developmental evaluation is completed in the child’s home or daycare. 
3. The Statewide Services department holds a Determination of Eligibility meeting.
4. If the family chooses to move forward, the Service Coordinator writes the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). (In Arkansas, only certified Service Coordinators under First Connections’ guidelines are permitted to write an IFSP.)
5. Once all parties have signed the IFSP, our therapists begin providing Developmental Therapy in the child’s home or daycare.
